This notice describes the public website of the National White House Correspondents’ Association. It is written to match how the site actually behaves.
What you type stays in your browser until you send it
Application and correspondence forms run on your device. They are not posted to a hidden database when you click continue. When you choose to send, your own email program opens a letter addressed to info@nwhca.press. The Association receives only what that email delivers.
What a letter may contain
Name, email, telephone, organization, title, website, a description of your work, a category of media, and your declarations. Do not include Social Security numbers, dates of birth, or information meant for a Secret Service check. We do not run that process and we do not want that data.
How correspondence is used
Letters are used to consider admission, to answer you, and to administer membership if you are admitted. They are not sold. They are not used to suggest that you hold a government credential. They are not published as a member directory without a separate, later consent from admitted members.
Who else sees a letter
People who operate the Association’s correspondence, and service providers who host ordinary email. We do not authorize them to use your letter for their own advertising.
Retention and correction
We keep application letters long enough to decide them and to keep a record of the decision. Write to info@nwhca.press to correct a fact in a letter you sent, or to ask that an unadmitted application be closed.
Effective September 23, 2026.
