Dues are association fees. They are invoiced after admission and never before. They buy affiliation. They do not buy the White House.

For a correspondent, editor, or independent journalist whose work is the coverage — not a spectator’s curiosity about the building.

Organization · Annual

Newsrooms of more than five, up to 250.

Institutional standing for an outlet. One correspondent of record. The same desk, at the scale of a newsroom rather than a byline.

What admitted members receive

The delegate: You are assigned one. Questions you submit go to that desk, and from there to the White House.
The name: When the question is strong and there is an opening, it is asked at a briefing, on camera, and you are named, with your outlet.
The response: If it is not asked on camera, you still receive a response.
The record: What was submitted, what was asked, and the response that came back.
The table: Members get exclusive access to the monthly off-the-record table. Invite only. Admitted members are offered the seat before anyone else, at $100. Speakers include administration members, current and former, discussing off the record.
The mark: A membership designation that states, on its face, that it is not a government credential.
Founding: The first one hundred admitted members. A closed designation. Not a discount on the law.

01 — You write. The application is a letter to the Association, not a shopping cart.
02 — The Association reviews. Most applicants will wait. Some will be declined. Both are ordinary.
03 — If admitted, dues are invoiced. Payment before admission is not requested and should be refused if anyone asks for it in our name without an admission letter.
