These terms govern use of the public website of the National White House Correspondents’ Association. Membership itself is governed by the membership terms. If the two ever seem to disagree, the membership terms control on membership, and these terms control on use of the site.
No offer of access
Nothing on this website is an offer, ticket, reservation, or representation that you may enter the White House or any federal facility. Descriptions of questions, names, and briefings are not a right you can buy here.
Marks
NWHCA, the seal, and the Association’s name are marks of the Association. You may not use them to imply a government affiliation, a partnership with the White House Correspondents’ Association, or an admission you have not received. News reporting about the Association may refer to the name in ordinary fair use.
Accuracy
We write this site to be precise. History, including any prior permission for a media position, is not a present promise. If a page and a membership term conflict on access, the narrower statement — the one that grants less — is the one you should believe, and you should write to us so we can correct the page.
Liability
The site is provided as a public statement of the Association. To the extent the law allows, the Association is not liable for decisions of the White House, for email that fails to send from your own device, or for anyone’s decision to treat a membership as something the terms say it is not.
